Two days ago I picked up a pair of headphones with Noise Reduction. Wow! What a difference they make on the plane! Basically they have a tiny microphone that works out what outside noise is present (eg The Plane) and filters that from what you hear. The experience? Great sound quality with little background noise. All that for only $40!

I’ve had them for over 3 years now and they still work great. I know there are more expensive headphones available that are probably better but these do the trick for me!
